Tale of the city downunder

For many Brits, Australia seems to be the most popular retreat once they are fed up with all the odds at home. (although many young ozs reckon Britain is their portal to explore the flamboyant European life.) For people from other parts of the globle, Australia is the last new land and full of opportunities.
Sydney, well known for its Opera House and sunny beaches, is one of the best ranked cities for living. Unsurprisingly most population living in this city are not from Sydney originally. People from all over the world moved to this crucible with their diverse cultures. These diverse cultures mingling together, like the assorted architecture coexisting under the same sky, serenade the beauty of Sydney.

The Great Ocean Road

'Don't wake me up...
I am in a dream of ocean ...'

If you travel from Melbourne, it takes about an hour to reach Geelong. The coastline leading west from Geelong is one of the most beautiful coastal stretches on the earth. 'Geelong' derives from Jillong, the Aboriginal word for the bay, and the excursion has a magnificant name - the Great Ocean Road.

A summer afternoon in Sydney Zoo

'Enjoy your nap in such a relaxed summer afternoon, ...'

It was the day before Christmas of 2005. I flew to Syndey and started my four-day sojour in this city.
Sooner after I checked in the hostel near King's Cross station, I sent a text message to let K know my arrival. K was going out to see a friend but still had some time to show me the panoramic view of the city from the roof of the flat. Having not enough time to take a shower, I put on a fresh shirt, applied some aftershave, and strolled out of the hostel with my leather opentoe to meet K. K walked to me from different direction to what I expected. K looked relaxed and the air smelled fresh like a summer breeze....
